About Us:
Here at COASTAL ART THERAPY SERVICES, we believe in creating the best atmosphere for our clients and employees and promoting the importance of creativity for mental health in the community. Our mission is to help members of our communities improve mental health and wellness through creative expression. We are a genuine, creative, and collaborative group of individuals who values working collaboratively and helping improve the health and wellness of our communities via creative expression.
Our Values:
COASTAL ART THERAPY SERVICES lives by values that guide who we are as a team and how we present to our communities. We hire staff who bring these values to life.
Humanism
We treat others with kindness and compassion. We respect ourselves and our patients, create strong and meaningful relationships, and nurture our creative selves.
Genuineness
There is transparency in the process, such as providing clear, defined work policies and procedures that are reviewed annually to proactively stay on top of trends in the industry. We are open and receptive to feedback and expect others to be the same.
Sustainability and wellness
We support human health and vitality. Resources, such as energy levels, are finite and are encouraged to be used in a way that promotes long-term growth in the work environment. We strive to diversify services and incorporate employee strengths and interests into overall work load. When we feel our best, we can continue to grow.
Effectiveness
The use of evidence-based practice has been shown to significantly decrease the risk of clinician burnout. We promote continued education in evidence-based practices so you can feel confident in the work you do.
Trauma-informed
Our therapists are trauma-trained and are guided by SAMHSA’s six principles of safety, trustworthiness, peer support, collaboration, empowerment, and humility to create a safe space for ourselves and those with whom we work. When we feel safe and supported, we can truly do our best work.
