Meet Haley
Haley Brown M.S., Resident in Counseling, ATR-P
Art Therapist
As an art therapist I am dedicated to helping individuals express themselves, resolve conflict, and promote healing and growth. Overall I strive to implement an integrated approach to treatment with a strong focus in person centered therapy. I believe in providing a safe space built on genuineness, trust, and unconditional positive regard so you can heal from your past hurts and adjust to life's challenges in a supportive, judgment-free environment. I also utilize trauma-informed, mindfulness, psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, gestalt, existential, and developmental-based theories.
I have experience working in the alternative schools, hospital inpatient, and outpatient settings. I also have experience in non-clinical community mental health working with the homeless and veteran populations. These opportunities have not only allowed me to provide art therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults, but also to witness the positive impact of creative expression on these populations in facilities that historically have struggled to prioritize mental health.
I currently offer art therapy services for individuals and groups experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, anger management, suicidal ideation, behavioral issues, dual diagnosis.
Through client willingness and openness to incorporate art in treatment, I have witnessed the power in healing through the art making process. I am passionate about creating a space that allows the freedom of creative expression to occur and ultimately allows my clients to meet their goals.
